About Kay

My name is Kay and I’m a Business Success Coach and Financial expert. I am passionate about helping go-getter women like you replace your salary with your successful business so that you can live the life you desire on your own terms!

From a young age, I believed that life should be about growth and not limitations. I, however, felt that societal norms, as relates to work-life balance did not fully support this belief.  I postponed my dream, of leaving my 9 to 5 job to launch my business, several times.

Prior to becoming a certified coach, and by the age of 30, I had achieved the position of financial analyst supporting Vice Presidents and other senior executives in corporate America. I was married, with a young child, juggling a 60 to 70 hour work week whilst working on my MBA.

I had grudgingly conformed to the unspoken societal ideals of climbing up the corporate ladder. I felt trapped in my 9 to 5, going on vacations I felt guilty about taking, and getting paid a predetermined amount every two weeks.

Once I became a mom a new ideal was imposed upon me. I was advised to slow down, just be a mom and no longer pursue my dreams.

Breaking free from this ideal was the best thing I could have done for myself. I believe that becoming a business owner or what I like to call a "chic ladypreneur" is one of the greatest journeys in personal and spiritual growth that I’ve ever taken.

It wasn’t always like this…

I still remember my breaking point like it was yesterday.

It was January 3rd, 2007 and I had just signed up for classes for my MBA program and grad school was about to start. I received a phone call from my parents and my dad told me his biopsy came back and he had cancer.

“CANCER? What?”

I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. My dad had stage four cancer.

I began to feel dead inside.  I felt lost and overwhelmed. I was distant from my family and felt as though nobody understood me.

My dad passed away 4 days after I received my MBA and six weeks after his death I lost my job.

Soon after, my (now ex) husband and I began divorce proceedings.

I had to find a place to live for my son and I.  I slipped into a depression and the only thing that kept me going was my then three year old, who needed me.

One day, my sister and a friend of hers recommended that I read the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne.

I purchased the book and started reading it the same night. I don’t remember the last time I was that immersed in a book. My soul was on FIRE. This book resonated deeply, with me. It gave me hope and inspired direction for my life.

FINALLY! There was light at the end of the tunnel. I got introduced to the “law of attraction” and my life hasn't been the same since.

Knowing that I could use the law of attraction to guide my life was a new and welcomed concept for me. Even more exciting was the notion of not worrying about HOW the dreams would come to pass. All of a sudden, my life wasn’t doomed anymore. I had options. With the excitement of a kid in a candy store, I went to the drawing board, rolled up my sleeves and started re-writing my story and created new goals for my life.

As I reflect on this period in my life and the pain and hardship I endured, I can see clearly how these experiences have served to grow me into the person I am today. There are so many lessons I learned. These are stories for another time, and I cannot wait to share them with you.

I strongly believe in and have a passion for women who choose to manifest their dream business and live life according to their terms.

Having a business that feels authentic to who you are while being able to support your desires and your loved ones and whilst giving you the freedom to enjoy every aspect of your life in your own unique way is doable and should be supported.

Having a successful business isn't reserved for a few people. That is why I am passionate about inspiring a revolution of go-getter ladies to become chic ladypreneurs in a way that supports their passions and enhances their family life. Encouraging women to live deep, rich, meaningful and fulfilling lives via business is my big WHY.
